Surprisingly, the Arson Bureau of the New York State Fire Prevention and Control and conducted a non-scientific test to determine the burning rates of plastic crates and wooden pallets to compare. Their findings indicated that "once the ignition of the plastic pallets burned both faster and hotter than wooden pallets. Burning, dripping plastic from the plastic pallets bundled and burned on the floor under the pallets to contribute to the growth of the fire. The sprinkler system was not effective in extinguishing this fire, necessary use of a portable 1 3/4 inch line fire suppression system for the ultimate extinction. "
This is in the news lately a number because there are some exchange took place between the supporters on both sides of the issue, and of course the fire marshals are caught in the middle, with not only pallet companies but all companies over the world for the storage of large quantities of containers in warehouses. A first reaction is usually that wood is flammable afterall we use it to start fires and stay warm in our homes, camping, and even pellets as fuel for wood-fired ovens.

As the growth of using plastic pallets ,you need use it as well.Though you were into business of wooden pallets but future is of plastic.

I strongly believe to purchase Used plastic palletsinstead of new ones.
